Joy Meats (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated in 2018 and has grown into a focused, quality-driven cattle rearing enterprise producing Super Grade beef from its base at Unifresh Abattoir in Ruwa.
Our story
Joy Meats (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated in 2018 with a clear ambition: to build a lasting footprint in Zimbabwe’s meat industry across beef, pork and chicken. The vision was rooted in a simple truth — meat is a daily staple, and there will always be a place for a producer that consumers and retailers can depend on.
Between 2018 and 2023, the company built strong experience in poultry, producing and supplying thousands of broilers and road runner chickens to outlets across the market. As production costs rose and the competitive landscape shifted, we took a deliberate strategic decision in 2024 to redirect our energy into what has become our core strength: cattle rearing.
Since then, Joy Meats has grown its cattle pen-fattening operation from a small-scale trial into a focused, quality-driven enterprise. Cattle rearing is now the heartbeat of our business — every animal is sourced, fed and managed with the same discipline, from selection of breed through to the final days of finishing.

Directors
Operations Director
Hands-on, proactive, innovative, hardworking and wholly customer-centric. Alongside other notable milestones in the public and private sectors, his most recent experience was in banking at managerial level with CFX Bank, Century Bank and FBC Bank — experience that now informs the operational discipline and business acumen he brings to Joy Meats.
Finance and Administration Director
Brings a strong corporate background, having served as a Public Relations Executive and Administration Manager for the Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation, National Discount House, and the Nigerian High Commission. Her experience underpins the sound financial and administrative management of the company.
